Residents Automotive Campus grabbed the stage during King's Day 2021

Residents Automotive Campus grabbed the stage during King's Day 2021

"A King's Day to never forget and hopefully never repeat." This is how King Willem-Alexander describes this second King's Day during the corona pandemic.

For 3 residents of Automotive Campus, King's Day 2021 was also very memorable. DENS, Lightyear and Voitures Extravert got a stage during King's Day 2021!

The royal family was a guest on a closed part High Tech Campus Eindhoven. According to Eindhoven, the royal family chose the city in Brabant this year because the Brainport Eindhoven region "in their eyes can develop a program where physical presence can be combined with digital experience."

Besides this digital experience, there was fortunately also room for a real experience, the mobility Karavaan. Willem-Alexander arrived with Princess Amalia in a DAF Kini, a car that was given to him when he was born in 1967.
Queen Máxima sat with the other two princesses in the Lightyear One. Voitures Extravert, which converts iconic classics into fully electric cars, also shone with a beautiful Porsche 911

DENS was allowed to set up their X2 Hydrozine generator during the day, so that emission-free energy could be supplied to the GEM Tower. The GEM (Green Energy Mill) is a hybrid, folding eye-catching tower that makes festivals more sustainable. The tower generates energy through solar panels and a wind turbine, storing the energy in a battery. The hydrozine generator ensures that in off-grid locations the energy supply can be increased completely emission free and the GEM-Stage is no longer dependent on weather conditions.
