Newsletter February - Automotive Week 2023

Monday 17 April 2023 - Grand Opening

The Grand Opening of the Automotive Week 2023 will be excecuted by the Major of Helmond Elly Blanksma, in the presence of Mark Harbers, Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management, Winfried Hermann, Minister of Transport in Baden-Württemberg (Germany) and Anne-Marie Spierings, Regional Minister Energy, Circular Economy and Environment. The keynote speakers on this day are Patrick Dean, Vehicle Chief Engineer of DAF Trucks, Joost Vantomme, Chief Executive Officer of ERTICO and Karen Vancluysen, Secretary General at Polis. In the afternoon a symposium with four (international) speakers and many demos will take place.

Tuesday 18 April 2023 - Mobility in the Digital Society

On Tuesday 18 April, the focus will be on Mobility in the Digital Society. The morning will start with various keynote speakers such as Andrea Conti of AVL, Suzanna Kraak, Policy Officer of the European Union, and Margriet van Schijndel, Program Director Responsible Mobility of Eindhoven University of Technology. After the keynote sessions you will have the opportunity to attend one of the panel discussions: "Innovations for liveable cities" or "Towards zero casualties in 2030".  

In the afternoon 8 deep dives will be offered: from data platforms for mobility and logistics to transitions in public transport due to digitalisation, the role of AI and more. You can choose two different deep dives to attend.

Wednesday 19 April 2023 - Mobility in a zero emission future  

On Wednesday 19 April, the focus will be on Mobility in a zero emission future, with keynotes and panel discussions in the morning. The keynote speakers are Els de Wit, Strategic Advisor smart and sustainable mobility, Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, Karl Viktor Schaller, Professor at the Technical University of Munich and Gerhard Meister, director Business Development of AVL.
After the keynote sessions you will have the opportunity to attend one of the panel discussions: "Implementations for zero emission technology" and "Technologies toward zero emission".

In the afternoon 8 deep dives will be offered: from next generation batteries to innovative solutions on urban mobility challenges an light weight solutions. You can choose two deep dives to attend.
