What a first week for our new Managing Director Sascha Bloemhoff!
She joined at just the right time, as we wrapped up her first days with a special visit from the newly appointed mayor of Helmond, Sjoerd Potters, to explore the innovation and energy that make Automotive Campus the hub for mobility and technology.
Together, they had the opportunity to meet some key players on campus grounds and see firsthand the groundbreaking developments happening here:
- TNO’s MARQ (Mobility Applied Research Quarter) – Martijn Stamm and Bastiaan Krosse welcomed them to their soon-to-be-completed facility, set to accelerate mobility research,
- At Eindhoven University of Technology's student team InMotion, Team Manager Noa Vogel shared how the team is developing a Next Generation Battery Pack that charges in just 4 minutes. Together with presentations of Roel Akkerman of Summa Automotive & Smart Mobility and Paul Janssen of Fontys Automotive, we clustered the part education on our campus,
- Qarry’s E-cargo scooter – Founder Lorenzo Engelen showcased the latest in city transport, already adopted by DHL.
- At DENS | Dutch Energy Solutions’, Tijn Swinkels showed how safety is implemented in the large scale, off-grid battery capacity solutions they provide.
- Jeroen Bleker provided a behind-the-scenes look at production and testing of Eleo’s battery technology for heavy-duty vehicles,
- And we closed by a look inside Rijkswaterstaat’s Verkeerscentrale, the control room for the road network of the South part of the Netherlands.
