TU/e EngD students visit Automotive Campus

TU/e EngD students visit Automotive Campus

Automotive Campus welcomed students from the Engineering Doctorate programme in Automotive and Mechatronic Systems at Eindhoven University of Technology. The visit focused on knowledge exchange around automotive, mobility and energy.

The students visited VDL ETS and its Battery Test Centre. This was followed by a session on the growing convergence of automotive, mobility and energy systems, and on the role of Automotive Campus as an environment where companies, education, research and government come together around smart, safe and sustainable mobility solutions.

With specialisations including automotive, mechatronics, robotics, motion control and autonomous mobility, the students brought relevant expertise and thoughtful questions. This led to a substantive exchange on how different systems are becoming more connected, and what this means for future applications in mobility and energy.

The visit reflects the role of Automotive Campus as an open innovation ecosystem in the Brainport region. The campus creates space for connection, collaboration and the development, testing and validation of technologies that can contribute to tomorrow’s mobility.

The TU/e EngD students will carry out a one-year company project next year. For organisations, this offers an opportunity to collaborate with engineering talent on current technological challenges in automotive, mechatronics and mobility systems.

More information about the TU/e EngD programme Automotive Systems Design can be found on the TU/e website.
