From April 16 – 19 the Automotive Campus Helmond in the Netherlands is thé hotspot if you want to keep up with the latest European developments in mobility and want to expand your network in our mobility sector. Innovative technologies and the right skills become more and more important to make the world of mobility smart, safe and sustainable.
Besides more than 100 guest speakers, spread over the multiple days, the more than 30 demonstrations, taking place both indoors and outdoors, make this mobility congress unique.
On Sunday April 16, the international week of mobility starts with the demonstrations of our future talents. At the so called TalentFair 11 HBO and University student teams show their innovations via a demonstration.
Incredible talented young people who are already adding knowledge and expertise to automotive research and industry.
Test area
At the test area on campus grounds, ADASTEC lets you experience the future of transportation with their 'SAE Level-4 Autonomous Driving Software Platform'. Their Automated Public Transport Bus will be in action, offering a closed test area ride to showcase its advanced technology and safety features to Automotive Week attendees.
Also a trailer mover, a new solution of TNO to move fully loaded trailers on a yard while the electrical road vehicle is being charged or scarce drivers utilized on public road logistics, will be demonstrated.
Dutch manufacturer DAF Trucks, will host a demo about yard automation. This solution for autonomous driving in confined environments will be of great value for both truck owner and truck driver. It saves valuable working hours by taking over tiresome repetitive movements of the vehicle while improving safety at the same time.
Tours, demonstration area and exhibition
This congress goes far beyond being a mere spectator. The developments of both campus organizations and leading names in the world of mobility give the congress a unique character.
During the various tours along, among others, Rijkswaterstaat, Capgemini, TNO and Fontys, doors are opened that normally remain closed to the public. Developments in automotive do get displayed for the public during these days.
Through demonstrations, leading names within our industry show their latest developments. And the more than comprehensive exhibition makes the program complete.

The demonstration shows low speed automated manoeuvring of a trailer mover semi-trailer combination. The trailer mover receives remotely a destination and will move/manoeuvre the semi-trailer to the destination. This simple use case shall demonstrate the possibilities of the trailer mover as a platform additional to yard tractor and commercial truck automation.
