Today, we had the pleasure of attending the partner event of University Racing Eindhoven (URE), one of the leading automotive student teams at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Hosted at Sioux Labs, Events & Training, bringing together students, industry partners and innovation leaders from across the ecosystem.
As Automotive Campus – a living lab for mobility and energy – events like these clearly highlight why maintaining, strengthening and expanding our close relationship with TU/e is so important to us. We are proud partner of all automotive student teams of TU/e, as they represent a unique and powerful connection between education, research and real-world application. Within these teams, students operate in a professional setting, working under real constraints such as time pressure, performance requirements and technological trade-offs. This makes student teams an ideal testing ground for innovation.
At the same time, we provide a real-life innovation environment where students, researchers and companies actively collaborate on mobility and energy challenges. By connecting student teams to industry partners, applied research, testing facilities and pilot projects, we enable experimentation at scale and shorten the path from concept to implementation. This interaction not only accelerates technological development, but also ensures that innovations are developed in direct alignment with real market needs and societal challenges.
The collaboration between student teams and campus organizations is particularly valuable because it brings together complementary strengths. Student teams contribute creativity, speed and a strong drive to push technological boundaries, while campus organizations and companies add domain expertise, infrastructure and a long-term perspective. Together, this creates a learning and innovation ecosystem in which talent development and technological progress reinforce each other.
Strengthening this collaboration is therefore a strategic choice for Automotive Campus. By deepening our partnership with TU/e and its student teams, we invest in the next generation of engineers and innovators, while simultaneously contributing to a resilient, future-proof mobility and energy ecosystem. Together, we ensure that new ideas move faster from campus to practice — and from experiment to impact.
On 26 February, their Design Presentation Event of the URE20 will be at Automotive Campus, we are looking forward to welcoming the team!
